Focus on efficiency & flexibility
The platform should 20 % fewer parts, 25 % less fastening elements and one 15 % shorter assembly time make possible. Also the cabling is reduced by 1.3 kilometers and 10 kg.
The centerpiece are Prismatic LFP batteries (Cobalt and nickel-free), which serve as a load-bearing vehicle structure- this saves weight, lowers the focus and creates more interior.
No compromises in performance
According to the Ford, the new e-pick-up will be a price despite the cheap price in less than 6 seconds to 100 km/h Accelerate - as fast as a Mustang Ecoboost. Ford wants to announce range, battery variants and loading times later.
