Volkswagen extends its range of electric vehicles and brings the popular ID. Buzz now on the market with an extended wheelbase and a powerful GTX version. These new variants offer more space, additional seating and improved all -wheel drive, which makes the model even more attractive for families and commercial vehicle customers.

More space and comfort in the interior

The new VW ID. Buzz XL now measures 4.96 meters in length, which brings with it a significant increase in the interior volume. The side sliding doors were widened by 19 centimeters, and customers can now choose between six or seven seats. The luggage compartment grows to an impressive 2,469 liters when all seats are folded down, which offers plenty of space for luggage, strollers or sports equipment.

Improved equipment and technology

The interior of the ID. BUZZ XL offers numerous comfort and technology features, including comfortable, heated single seats, many USB ports, a fine climate control for both rows of seats and a panoramic roof that ensures a bright and friendly atmosphere. The inmates also benefit from an improved overview and operation, although the viewing angle on the central 12.9-inch touchscreen could be optimized.

Powerful all -wheel drive

The GTX version of the ID. BUZZ has an impressive 250 kW (340 hp) and offers all -wheel drive as standard. This not only improves the traction, but also the pulls, which is now up to 1.8 tons. Despite the higher weight of 2.7 tons, the ID convinces. Buzz GTX with a precise steering and a tight chassis that is designed for a sporty driving style. However, the top speed is electronically limited to 160 km/h.

Larger battery and fast charging

The new long version of the ID. BUZZ is equipped with a larger battery that grabs the net 86 kWh. VW specifies a range of up to 477 kilometers, with a charging stop necessary in real everyday life after about 400 kilometers. The battery can be loaded at fast charging stations with up to 200 kW, which enables a charging from 10 to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes.

Price and availability

The price for the ID. Buzz Pro with a long wheelbase begins at 64,533.70 euros, which represents an additional charge of 1,826 euros compared to the standard version. The GTX version, which will be available from late summer 2024, is likely to be significantly more expensive with a price of over 75,000 euros.
