Description

By default, the 13-pin socket of the trailer coupling is directed downwards in the Model 3, which severely limits the ground clearance when the cable is plugged in. Our angle adapter ensures that the cable protrudes backwards and the ground clearance remains almost the same. For example, if you drive backwards to the supercharger with a bike rack, the cable otherwise grinds over the bottom threshold and will be damaged in the long run. The same thing happens when driving over bottom thresholds or on uneven terrain.

The adapter is made of plastic and is very robust. The pin assignment is identical to that of the vehicle.

Later on the customer care sent me another new one free of charge.

It is really, I mean really difficult to connect to the car. Once it is connected it works well.
If you go over a bump, then it can tear off. I had to buy a second one because I accidentally broke it while driving slowly.

We are sorry that the adapter is not so easy to install on your car. It has a high quality Herth&Buss plug which is also used on many cables of trailers. It might just be the shape of the adapter that makes it a bit harder to turn than just a plug on a cable. We ask for your understanding.
We have not had a case before where an adapter broke because of a bump in the street. We apologize that this happened to you. Please send us a photo of the broken adapter so that we can check how it happened and where it broke. We will then find a good solution for you.

Good product and solution
Unfortunately half 3d printed and glued but works properly👌🏻

This product is Made in Germany in relatively low quantities. 3D printing is the only suitable method to allow the production of the product at all. Otherwise it would not exist because it is too special to allow for an injection moulding.
