As standard, the 13-pin socket of the trailer coupling on the Model 3 protrudes downwards, which greatly reduces the ground clearance when the cable is plugged in. Our angle adapter ensures that the cable protrudes to the rear so that the ground clearance remains almost the same.
For example, when reversing with a bike rack to the Supercharger, the cable would otherwise drag over the threshold and be damaged in the long term. The same happens when driving over bumps or on rough terrain.
The adapter is made of plastic and is very robust. The pin assignment is identical to that on the vehicle.
