Our holder ensures that the trunk cover stays up when it is lifted, but does not slide down again by itself, which makes loading and unloading the trunk of your Tesla Model Y easier. This means that the trunk cover can no longer slip out of place. The holders are simply stuck to the upper area of the trunk side trim using the adhesive pads on the back. This means that no drilling into the trim is necessary and the retainers can be removed again without leaving any residue if required. Two adhesive catches are included in the scope of delivery.
When the lid is lifted, it slides over the retaining points, but does not slide back underneath by itself - so it stays up. As soon as you pull the lid back down by hand, the side panel gives way a little - so it simply pushes outwards and the lid slides underneath. Only its own weight prevents it from sliding over the locking points. This solves the annoying problem that the trunk lid of the Tesla Model Y normally does not stay up by itself, but can only be pushed back slightly.
